Dots or bulges with cherries, a sweet that can be prepared on Lent. My mother used to make them almost every year during the Christmas holidays and put cherries in them. A good thing as long as you don't eat too much when you have cherries :).

I'm writing you the recipe to see how easy they are to make.

  • 250g old cough
  • 125ml apa
  • 1 teaspoon free of rum
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 300g ground walnuts
  • 10 simple ground biscuits

We still need sour cherries or compote (or not at all in my case :)). Coconut or ground walnut.

1. Put the sugar with boiling water in a bowl over low heat. After it boils, leave it for a few more minutes (about 4-5) then take the pot aside and add the essence of rum, cocoa, butter, walnuts and ground biscuits.

Mix well and with wet hands form balls inside which we put a cherry well drained of juice.

To make things work faster, we put them on a plate and after we finish composing we give them through ground walnut or coconut.

Remarks: If you don't have that much walnut, you can replace half of the quantity with biscuits.

Pie with walnuts and cherries

It took
550-600 gr flour
100 gr butter
250 ml milk
an egg
3 tablespoons sugar
yeast 25 gr
2 lg oil
grated orange peel - a teaspoon
200 gr ground walnuts
50 gr butter
cherries made jam (or fresh cherries)
a tablespoon of powdered sugar
an egg for anointing

It took.
Put flour in a bowl. Farm the yeast by hand, add it over the flour, then add the sugar, orange peel, lightly beaten egg and a little salt.
In a kettle we put the milk in which we put the diced butter.
Put the kettle on the fire and heat it slightly. (do not heat it, you will scald the flour and yeast and the dough will not grow, it just needs to be warm).
We start to add little by little over the flour, homogenizing. Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
Depending on the type of flour used, we add warm milk or flour, as the case may be, until we obtain a suitable hard, slightly malleable and non-sticky dough.
While kneading, add the oil.
Grease the dough with a little oil, cover the bowl with a clean napkin and leave it in a warm place for at least an hour.

Mix the ground walnuts with the butter and powdered sugar by hand.

Divide the dough in half. So is the filling.
On the floured worktop we spread the dough in a rectangular shape (4-5 mm thick)
Ochiometrically we divide it into three lengths (without cutting it)
We cut the sides (from centimeter to centimeter).
We put the filling on the middle part, cherries from the jam, then we start to pass the strips on the sides over the filling, in the shape of an x, alternating the strips, once on the left, once on the right.

At the end, grease with beaten egg, move them to the tray lined with baking paper and leave them for another 30 minutes. in a warm place.

Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake the pie until it browns nicely.
In my oven & # 8220buclucas & # 8221 I leave it in the middle until it grows and takes on a slight color on the sides, then I move it on the top step of the stove and leave it until the pies brown.

Snails With Basil

The snails feed for a few days & # 8211 a week on basil to catch the flavor. First they will be scalded in salted water. After boiling, remove the snails from the shell and soak them for a few minutes in lemon juice. Then fry them a little in olive oil. You will use the tomato sauce and a little basil that you prepare at the end for decoration. Let the tomatoes soak in the pan and add the basil. In the meantime, take care of the cream. Separate the egg yolk from the egg whites in two different containers. Mix them separately until you get a foam. You can also add a pinch of egg white salt if needed. Mix the yolk with a little salt and a little pepper. Add poppy seeds, sesame seeds, flour and beer. At the end, add the egg whites and, using the blender, mix very lightly from the bottom up until smooth. Then stick each snail in a toothpick and pass it through the foam and then put it in hot oil until it browns. At the end, place on a plate next to the prepared sauce and serve.
